Parents in Partnership

At Crick Primary School we value the partnership that we have with parents in supporting children's learning and development. We recognise and value the vital part parents play in their child's education.

The information documents and web links below are designed to help parents access further information in support of children's learning. Please also refer to our Homework Policy and please do ask us at the school if you have any questions regarding this.

Resource sites

Our own interactive resource Crickweb is a good a place to start as any if your're looking for educational activities for children to do online. You'll also find a links page here to take you onwards to other resource sites. The BBC school's site has an excellent store of resources and the Coxhoe school site has a great range of links to curriculum based resources.

Parent Governors

Parent governors are elected by parents of children at the school. Although they are there to represent parents' views, they are not delegates, and other parents cannot mandate them on how they should vote, or what they should say in governing body meetings. However, they will listen to the views of parents to inform their input to governing body meetings and will also find ways to report back to parents from the governing body. They're always ready to listen to you, so either find them on the school palyground before and after school or drop than an email. Your current parent governors are:

Jenny Bardell

Julia Cartwright

Tim Rowe

Beverley Staniforth

Kate Watkins

Chair and Vice-Chair of Governors

The Chair and Vice Chair are elected by governors, usually at the Autumn Term meeting, for a term of office agreed by the governing body. The Chair of governors has an important role in ensuring the governing body works effectively.

Tim Rowe (Chair)

Eileen Barbet (Vice-Chair)

If you have any concerns regarding the pupils' education and welfare at school, please raise these in the first instance with the class teacher or other members of staff. Contact the Headteacher if you need to discuss things further or raise what you consider to be a serious matter. We have complaints procedure guidelines if you're unsure of how to progress your concerns - but often the best way is an informal chat with the school staff.
