Year 5/6 Tag-Rugby Competition
Last night, a squad of 13 children from Year 5 & 6 travelled to Long Buckby Rugby Club for a Tag-Rugby competition comprising schools from the Guilsborough, William Parker, Danetre and Moulton clusters of primary schools. We won our two pool matches: 7-5 against Ashby Fields and 5-3 against Boughton. This put the team into the semi-finals where they came up against a strong Long Buckby team. A brilliant match ended 5-5, resulting in “first try wins” extra time. Unfortunately, Long Buckby scored first, ending Crick’s brave efforts.
Some terrific rugby was played by all teams and Crick certainly looked the part in their brand new kit! Many thanks to FOCS, and in particular Mrs Watkins, for their kind support in purchasing this. Pictures will be on the website soon. Finally, an enormous thank you to all parents who helped with taking children to and from the venue. Your time and support is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Dance Club!

In Autumn 1 term, Dance Club is open to Year 1 and Year 2 pupils. In Autumn 2 term, our group is open to Year 3 pupils. Maximum number is 16.
If you would like to join or go on the waiting list, please see Mrs. Hupfield. We meet at 11.45 on Thursday lunchtimes, in Orange Class.
We warm up, practise dance skills such as circling, skipping, hand-holds and partner moves, as well as learning set dances – this term Circassian Circle, Pat-a-cake Polka and Miss Zudio.
We hope to demonstrate our dances to the older people at the village hall in November.
(If anyone in the village remembers any local dances or chants to teach the group then we would love to hear from you!)
