FOCS' (Friends of Crick School) main aim is to raise extra money by running various fundraisers throughout the school year, which enables us to buy items on the school's wish list. We work closely with Mrs. James and her team to choose things that will be of most use to the school. We also receive ideas from parents and pupils. FOCS organises the May Day fete, the Christmas fayre, safari suppers, family bingo nights and barn dances, amongst other things. We also run non profit making fun events for the children including discos, cinema nights and picnics. New fundraising ideas are always welcome.

Every day the children benefit from FOCS' money. In the last 12 months alone we have bought a freezer for the classes and "Let's get Cooking" to use, a 40" full HD television plus heavy duty stand, new projectors for red and yellow classes and £350 worth of construction kits (lego, k'nex etc). We have given each class £100 to spend as they wished, made a £5 per pupil contribution for their class trip in 2010-2011 and made a £500 donation for new library books. We are now raising funds for, amongst other things, new computing equipment for each class.

All of this is made possible by the fantastic support given to FOCS' events by pupils, their families, school staff and members of the wider community.

Any offers of help are always welcomed. We meet about every four weeks during term time.

Please keep an eye on our Forthcoming Events which are listed on this web site.
