Crick Primary School

This week children in yellow, orange and red class were treated to a day that was out of this world. In our classes we explored the planets, stars and night sky and had the opportunity to make rockets, space rovers and comets. Josh, from the National Space Centre, brought along the star dome and treated the children to a session which brought the night sky to life. We learnt different myths from Egypt, Africa, Greece and North America which have been told about the constellations. It was a wonderful day which finished with a song about a Rockin Robot travelling to planet Earth!

Yellow class enjoyed a wonderful trip to the sea life centre in Birmingham this week. The children were lucky enough to touch a starfish and stroke a crab as well as seeing the otters being fed. A real highlight was walking through the ocean tunnel where we were surrounded by turtles, a hammerhead shark, an eel and a black tipped reef shark! We also went to the 4D cinema and completed the quiz. What a fantastic day!
